What is RSS?

The picture RSS represents an RSS file. If you click on it, you'll see something that won't make much sense to you. That's because this file is readable by computers, but not directly for humans. An RSS file of a news page contains the latest world news for example, our RSS feed (how these files are also called) contains the latest jobs.

What is RSS good for?

We're using RSS here at Jobazaar to have you up-to-date with the latest jobs. How? RSS files can be, contrary to normal websites, read and processed by other programs.

The most commmon programs are "newsreaders". Those programs read an RSS file and show you when there is a new job.

That saves you some time, because you don't need to visit the website just to see if there is something new on.

Even better: We do not just have one feed (the RSS-File including new jobs), we got a lot feeds. For instance you are viewing all jobs in New York on the website, then there is one feed for all jobs in New York. So as well with our tags. For every tag there is one feed.

How do I subscribe to these RSS-Feeds in my RSS-Reader?

If you found our RSS picture, then you need the URL of the RSS-file (RSS-feed). In Windows systems you copy them by clicking the right mouse button on the RSS picture. In the context menu, select "copy link location" or "copy link". After that you go to your RSS-Reader and you add a new channel by clicking on "Add new channel", "new channel", "new feed" (or however this button is called) and you paste the copied URL of the RSS-feed in the according field by typing CTRL + V.

For a detailed instruction for adding a RSS-feed, you will have to read the documentation of you RSS-reader.

RSS in my browser?

If you use Mozilla Firefox, you can use our RSS-feeds wiht you browser. You find more information about that on the website of Mozilla.
