Position Overview

The position of Technical Trainer is responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering technical courses on Fair Isaac's most complex software and products. The candidate must possess the ability to learn and assume responsibility for multiple products and requires the acquisition of expertise in one or more industries. Fair Isaac products are sold throughout the world and the this position typically involves extensive international and domestic travel, up to 75% of work time.

Job Responsibilities

Development activities require the candidate possess the ability to plan, research, write, and produce technical training materials for new software products and updated features, including lab exercises, instructional texts, technical reference information and presentations.

This position works closely with product management, Software Developers, Engineers, documentation and quality assurance to develop technical courses that are educational and effective for clients, internal employees and partners.

Delivery activities require teaching Fair Isaac software courses domestically and globally, securing all physical resources, coordinating travel plans with implementation team and client.

The position is responsible for the management of one's own work such as classroom setup, network and computer setup, troubleshooting and interactions with client management.

Post delivery responsibilities include completing detailed trip reports, notification of client issues to correct individuals within the organization.


Minimum Requirements

Requires technical skill and familiarity with Windows or other PC O/S and UNIX platforms, PCs and PC based tools, client/server applications, networking, relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft Office products. Proficiency in Java and J2EE required. The education and experience of candidate must demonstrate excellent teaching ability and analytical ability.


Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with other programming languages such as C, C++, JSP, VB, .NET or SQL. Experience with web based training design tools such as Dreamweaver and FrameMaker software. Some knowledge of statistics. MS degree in related field.
