The MSN Messenger team is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to help with MSN Messenger Platform and Peer To Peer Transport technologies testing as well as help building test infrastructure framework and tools.

As part of our high octane team, you will be tasked with designing and implementing test automation suites, tools and utilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Reviewing product specs
• Creating test plans
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining high quality tests
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Demonstrated programming proficiency with an object oriented programming language (C++, C#), Jscript and VBScript
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of and experience with internet communication protocols and transports (SOAP, XML, HTTP, TCP, NAT)—including the tools used to sniff and decipher network traffic
• Familiarity with Microsoft Internet client/server technologies including IIS and ASP.NET
• Solid Win32 and network debugging skills
• Extensive experience writing detailed, actionable and objective bug and defect reports
• Fundamental understanding of white box and black box testing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills and a strong passion for testing
• 4 years of experience with an object oriented programming language (C++, C#), and at least 2 years experience in product development of shipped products.
• BS/MS in computer science, related field or equivalent experience
